Our most famously fabulous event of the year is an illuminated treat for everyone. What you need to join in is to make your own lantern. One that really, truly glows in the spooky dark.
Spend the day exploring our Halloween woodland decorations and listen to the special edition storytelling. Then wind your way through the woods to build and decorate a truly special lantern of your very own. That’s one each for the whole family.
The show starts at dusk. Snagglefang the bat will get things going with a poem, then it’s off through the dark to meet Slitherigrubs, Witches, naughty Thorneycold Spiders and even Swampy himself! Be delighted by lights and lazers and glowing pumpkins as the whole parade reaches an awesome crescendo in the deep marsh. It would be madness not to come and join us in this stunning show for all ages. It’s spooky, its spine-tingly but it isn’t all that scary – well, unless witches count.

SEA LIFE will be turning the spotlight on scary critters of the deep this October.
As well as meeting freaky batfish, wolf-fish, vampire tangs and other appropriately named creatures, visitors will learn that it is we humans who are the real monsters!
From Saturday 15th Oct to Monday 31st Oct SEA LIFE will concoct up a special package of fright-fest’ entertainment including highlighting the horrors that pollution, over-fishing and other human follies are inflicting on the marine world.
There will be lots of fishy fun too, of course…including a novel pumpkin hunt, a Yucky Dip, spooky fact finding, origami making and crafts.
